Goodbye Mr. Spock and We Will Miss You
I grew up with the new show "Star Trek" and remember watching it on TV. I was fascinated with Leonard Nimoy who played Mr. Spock, a Half-Vulcan/ Half-Human and he was the most interesting character on the show and he had created the vulcan hand-shake which is still popular among Trekies. The original show only lasted 3 seasons but we all enjoyed the reruns later.
Nimoy was best known by his followers as Spock but he played in many movies and several other TV series, "Mission Impossible" and "In Search Of". Nimoy played in all the Star Trek movies as Spock's father after they were recast with young actors. Nimoy also directed many well known movies, wrote books, enjoyed photography and poetry.
Leonard Nimoy died Friday Feb. 27, 2015 and I am sure I am not alone when I say 'Live Long and Prosper'.
Actor William Shatner said he loved Nimoy like a brother and would miss his humor and talent
Nimoy tweeted for the last time on Feb. 22, saying ... "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP"
