Redo Your Backyard this Summer- Before & After Photos
As a Realtor in Southern California, I sometimes stage my listings to make them more appealable and take before and after photos.
This is a project that my husband and I worked on all last month to have it all ready for the 4th of July.
We had noticed several palm trees in our backyard were way overgrown and making the retaining walls start to lean. In the very back, we had a palm that had grown from fence high in 2008 to approx 40 feet high and getting very close to our swimming pool. Just the thought of how much damage this heavy tree could either do to our home or the house behind us made me very concerned. So we hired a licensed and bonded tree removal company to come out and remove 3 big trees.
After the trees and the stumps were removed, we looked at our covered patio area and decided it had become a catch-all for plants in pots and the table and chairs were cute but so uncomfortable. We had bought these (2) 3 piece bisto patio sets and finally put them together but never really cared for them. Before that, we had a round table before with 4 chairs and a big brown umbrella. It seemed big so we finally gave it away last summer. What should we do now as we never sit outside anymore? We started shopping for an outdoor patio set that we would enjoy sitting in to either eat breakfast or sip iced tea as the sun was going down. Being empty nesters, we realized we did not need a big set which would take up a lot of room.
Finally decided on this cute 3-piece set with swivel chairs and a slate tiled top. It is just perfect.
Here is one of our chaise lounges that my dogs like to lay on.
Enjoying our breakfast and watching the wildlife and the waterfall in the pool. It is a nice restful moment before I start my day.
A nice view of the area where the big palm was removed. I am so glad that big palm tree is gone and I beth the neighbor behind me is glad too.
