Author’s Notes: Although it looks like the dogs could easily get the birds, it is not the case. I took the picture at an angle and there is really 4 feet between the feeder and the wall plus the feeder is higher.

Kristin,

Great pics and title.  A couple years ago my puppy rain into a lake chasing a bird, I wish I had it on video.

Hi Carmela,

I love those special moments and that happens to me sometimes. I will be somewhere and of course my camera is at home. I have 3 plus my iPhone so I usually can capture the moment but not always. I need to get up to speed on taking videos. I took one; my daughter graduating from law school and that was 2 years ago. Have a great Saturday.

Kristin-Hopefully it is only watching and not eating for snacks.

Hi Sharon,

I can't speak for the cats as they are not mine but the dogs just love to watch, bark and chase them but are not fast enough and cannot jump high enough to get them. I think the cats also like to go after the gophers in my neighbors yard too. I am so glad as I do not want them back in my yard.

Wonderful.  It's been at least 7 years since our last cat passed.  You brought back so many memories of watching her watch the birds.  Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Hi Virginia,

Isn't it wonderful when you read or see a photo and it reminds you of a great memory. I have that happen sometimes too. AR is wonderful....and have a great weekend.

If they catch the flying rats (pigeons)...good for them! Neat photos.

Hi Than,

I do not think we have any pigeons. We have sparrows, finches, turtle doves, hummingbirds, and hawks. But if we do have rats, mice or gophers I hope the cats will get rid of them. I do not like to think of them eating little birdies.
