Ben Kinney is Buying Activerain.....That is the Rumor

Ben Kinney is Buying Activerain.....

Ben Kinney ActiveRain and Keller Williams

Inman News just announced a rumor started by Zillow that Ben Kinney is buying Activerain.

Activerain was created nine years ago by two creative Seattle geniuses, Bob Stewart and Jonathan Washburn. Then five years ago Activerain was sold to Market Leader. Later Activerain was taken over by Truilia. So what is next for the thousand of bloggers who love to read and post daily on this real estate network.

Since I am one of the bloggers who depends on Activerain for technology updates, real estate news, and also for networking with other professionals, I am happy to hear the news. Ben Kinney is smart, innovative, knows how to make money, and has the creativity to make Activerain even better.

Just got another email from one of Ben Kinney's sites saying the deal is closing on June 30, 2015.

What do you think?

Thanks for Reading my Real Estate Blog.....

I just received the same email update from Inman about Ben Kinney buying ActiveRain.  Sounds great Kristin Hamilton CA Realtor if its really true. I agree that Ben Kinney is smart, innovative and definitely knows how to make money! I think it would be great for Ben, ActiveRain, and the entire AR community!

Same answer as when Trulia took over. Hope it works out for the best for Active Rain. I believe there is a huge difference from when Trulia took over.

I just received an email from Ben Kinney himself acknowledging the sale.  To be consummated on June 30th.  Who saw that coming???

Best of GREAT success to all the Rainers this year!

I don't know how I feel... Hopefully, if it is purchased by anyone; I hope that is purchased by someone who can fix the issues and nurture it.

It is certainly interesting that ActiveRain is being discarded again. Hopefully, the new ownership will be making much needed improvements.

I wonder what will happen to all links to our previous posts. I assume they are not going to work anymore, since they would have trulia in them?
